Hi,
I'm currently trying to use the traveling library on Mendeley and I don't really understand what it is and how it works. Is there a clear tutorial somewhere that can guide me or explain what it is and how it works?
Thank you

No toolbars
I can't not see anything referenced in the getting started guide. I have imported several articles and now I can't do anything with the info. How do I turn the articles into a bibliography? I don't see any references to Mendelaey in Word 2010. Very frustrated. Does this only work if you have a paid account? If so, why doesn't it say that anywhere?

transfer references from endnote to MENDELEY
Hey...
I started using MENDELEY and I have a document that was prepared using endnote references. Is there any way that I can transfer all the references made so far so I could continue working with MENDELEY from now on?
Thanks

Proper references not being imported onto my Mendeley desktop
Hi,
I'm just getting started with Mendeley. I have installed the web importer and have no problem importing references from google scholar etc or adding PDFs from my documents. However the details are never fully accurate and always require adding the authors, journal name or proper title etc. Im wondering am i doing something wrong? Im using safari 6.02 on Mac OS X 10.8.2.
Thanks

import code field
Dear all, I resolved in migrating to Mendeley my biblio database (some 1700 entries), many of them with full text, managed with an MSAccess dbase and Calibre. Mendeley could really solve most of my problems, but there is a problem: from my MSAcces dbase, I can easily sort out a RIS format with all my records, but I would like to avoid loosing my own cataloging ID.
I could use the 'code' field, but how can I import it without adding it one by one? Is there a fieldcode I can use to put that number as I compose my query?
Thank you very much for any help!

Changing order of in text citations and sentence punctuation
Hi,
The journal I am writing an article for requires that the in text citations come after the sentence punctuation. For example (note that the numbers should be superscript):
Correct: end of sentence.1
Incorrect: end of sentence1.
I have been using the Visual CSL Editor and have been able to modify most of the other aspects of the bibliography (with the exception of abbreviating the journal titles) but am still unable to figure this problem out. Any ideas??

Using the program - uploading files
Hi!
I'm afraid I might have misunderstood something about the program, I got some help from another researcher from another university the other day to start using it and now I'm afraid I misunderstood how it works!
Do I upload files to a public place when I drag them to my library in Mendeley from my computer? I never meant to make them public... I'm terrified I have misunderstood and done this! I only thought the abstract were public and the article was still picked up from my computer! Now I'm awfully confused and scared that I have done an awful misunderstanding!

I don't seem to have the full tool bar on my desktop so can't see how to add a book or whatever. Any ideas?

Sync EndNote library with Mendeley
I use Mendeley as a PDF manager/annotator, but EndNote is my primary reference manager.
Since my Endnote library is constantly changing, I want Mendeley to automatically sync and mirror changes in my EndNote library.
With the manual way to update, which is to reimport xml file routinely, I'm afraid annotated PDFs will be overriden, and it is tedious chore. I need Mendeley to update the PDFs in tandem with changes and additions I make to my EndNote library.

Manual input
Hello
Is it possible to manually insert a book and its details instead of importing from the web?
Thanks

Access to pdf Documents
Hi,
I have recently established a user group which I am administrator of, I have uploaded all our pdf documents into the group folder. I can see and access all pdfs but my two collegues can only see all the documents but cannot open the pdfs. I have a scrren capture of what they see compared to me, if this would explain it easier.
Kind regards,
Carla

Mendeley Plug-in for Word for Mac 2011 (German) does not work..
Hi,
I have installed the latest version of both Mendeley and Word 2011 (German) for Mac. However, I only receive error messages when I try any function of the Mendeley Plug-in in word. In German, this error message reads "Kompilierungsfehler in ausgeblendetem Modul: Mendeley".
Any ideas?
Cheers,

several papers one author
Hi there
I've been using Mendely for a while now and I still don't know how to mark different paper who have the same author and the same year of publication.
for example: Klemperer wrote two books in 2011
if I press "quote and choose Klemperer" the reader doesn't know what paper I refer to.
I'd need something like 2011a for his first paper and 2011b for the second one. Is that possible?

MAC Pages script
Hi,
Firstly, thanks for such a great product.
Secondly, I can see many people have requested a plugin for Mac Pages and I have read the advise to copy and paste citations into Pages from Mendeley. But I would like to request that very feature - a plugin that acts like the Word plugin, but specifically made for Mac Pages.
Is this something the team would considered? Especially taking into account the amount of people that have already asked for the plugin (plus the ones that have not asked because they have read your advice).
I implore you to consider my request. Us Pages uses would love to have a fully integrated experience the Word uses are having but this will only be possible if you take this into consideration seriously.
Thanks for your time.

Using Mendeley to format pre-written reference lists
Hi,
I'm currently editing a batch of papers from various authors to prepare them for publication. We are using the APA style, and I need to comb through the reference lists to format them for APA style. Does Mendeley have a feature for this or is it somehow possible to use Mendeley to make this easier? Each paper generally refers to very different publications (some from little-known Chinese journals), so I don't think it would be efficient to build up a library and create re-generate the reference lists myself.
Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

controlling bibtex export
I would like to controll which fields mendeley exports to a bibfile,
because I am collaborating with a group of authors and we agreed
on a common standard for our bib files.
For example I dont want the 'Abstract' in my bibfile, how can I avoid that.
Optimally you should just be able to select which entries to export to a
particular bibfile.

Collaborate on editing a manuscript
How can edit a doc manuscript with inserting multiple citations and allow my group member to further edit it and repeat the process ? When it comes thorugh the dropbox, everything seems to be disappearing. Is it possible to do it on mendeley site ?

Various authors
How do I enter the reference of a book with various authors. I don't want to index hundreds of names. I just it to appear on my bibliography like this "AA. VV., (title, etc)". In fact there are cases I know that the book have more then one authors but they are mentioned in it's information.
