I have the same basic issue as described here: http://support.mendeley.com/customer/portal/questions/9677394-footnotes-start-with-ibid-on-next-page
The Chicago Manual clearly states: "Ibid. must never be used if the preceding note contains more than one citation."
But with Mendeley Desktop for Windows and the MSWord widget, it does this:
1. Clarkson; Smith.
2. Ibid.
When what I (and the Chicago Manual) want it to do this:
1. Clarkson; Smith.
2. Smith.
Is there a workaround or is the style simply programmed incorrectly?
Thank you!
