I am new to Mendeley, so if I need to post this question in another area, please let me know, I won't take it personally! I have a blog post as a source. For the "type", since "Blog post" isn't an option, I had to choose "Web Page" since that's the closest thing I could find. When I tried to add the APA reference citation for it, it does not look anything like how the APA manual says it should be referenced. I even followed up with my instructor to make sure.
The way it is supposed to be referenced is:
Admin. (2011), March 17). What is a style guide? [Blog post] English editing.
Retrieved from http://www.book-editing-services.com/blog/english-
editing/what-is-a-style-guide
The way Mendeley references using the APA style is:
Admin. (n.d.). What is a style guide? Retrieved July 9, 2015, from
http://www.book-editing-services.com/blog/english-editing/what-is-a-style-
guide
I can change it myself, but isn't the whole point of Mendeley to make referencing sources easier? Like I said, I'm new and have only used Mendeley for about a week, but if it can't even come close to proper formatting, I may need to look elsewhere.
