Citation multiple authors et al. vs. and

Hi, I'm trying to edit a citation style (Chicago manual of style 16th ed (author-date)) using the CSL editor. My wish is to differentiate in-line citations for 2 authors (A and B) from in-line citations for 3 or more authors (A et al.), but I can't get it right. Please advise me how to work it out.
