Footnotes and Bibliography

I have read your tutorials and watched the videos and still am unable to do my bibliography. 1. I am writing a chapter in a book. My main aim is inserting footnotes (do not need citations). I type manually because I can't import most of my documents from the Mendeley documents, it does not copy automatically the book or journal, or maybe, the problem is that I could not find how to do it. 2. Some of the footnotes are not books neither journals, but other publications like newspapers. How does one go about them? 3. So how do I import the few books and journals to the footnotes and how does is convert to the bibliography and the end of my chapter? Any help is much appreciated.
